Peter Wang Trading Company Attended the 2024 Taiwan Hardware Show

From October 23-25, 2024, staff from Peter Wang Trading Company attended the annual 2024 Taiwan Hardware Show in Taipei City. The 2024 Taiwan Hardware Show invited over 4,000 suppliers and buyers from ten countries in a 10,000 square meters of exhibit space. 

The primary focus for Mr. Peter Wang, Mr. Willis Wang, and Ms. Linda Wu was to establish strategic partnerships with suppliers who integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their manufacturing practices. Instituting robust environmental policies has become a cornerstone of competitive advantage. 

At the event, Mr. Willis Wang emphasized the importance of sourcing and manufacturing hardware that aligns with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). RoHS restricts the use of hazardous materials like lead, mercury, and cadmium in manufacturing processes. These measures are particularly crucial for markets with stringent environmental regulations, such as the EU and North America. 

Similarly, at the event, Mr. Peter Wang highlighted the company’s commitment to its environmentally friendly standards and certifications, including REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals), ISO 14001 Certification, and Green Manufacturing Practices. One of the challenges in integrating environmental policies into hardware manufacturing is costs. 

Overall, Peter Wang Trading Company views environmental compliance as a cornerstone of its long-term strategy.
